Al-Baha is the capital of Al-Baha Province and the seat of the provincial government. It is one of Saudi Arabia’s leading tourist and agricultural cities. The city combines natural beauty with strong administrative and commercial capabilities, housing numerous government departments and major shopping centers. It is also home to well-known traditional markets, most notably the Thursday Market. The city is distinguished by its location amid beautiful forests such as Raghadan Forest, Al-Shahbah Forest, Dar Al-Jabal, and Al-Zarqa, as well as Wadi Fiq, which was visited by Sharif Hussein. These areas are rich in natural beauty, making the city a wonderful tourist destination. Al-Baha continues to develop and is considered a vital hub in the region. It is bordered by Al-Qara Governorate to the north, Al-Mandaq and Al-Makhwah governorates to the west, Baljurashi Governorate to the south, and Al-Aqiq Governorate to the east. The city’s population is estimated at approximately 90,515, reflecting a demographic and cultural diversity that reinforces Al-Baha’s importance at the heart of the Kingdom.
